Laughter is the best medicine. The cliché comes alive, and there will be laughter aplenty at the 2013 Vancouver Comedy and Arts Festival.
From February 7th to 17th join in the fun as venues across downtown Vancouver come alive with laughter, as some of the funniest international and local comedians take to the stage.
As usual, the BEST WESTERN PLUS Chateau Granville hotel in downtown Vancouver is right in the middle of all the fun! Many of this year’s festival venues are very close to this hotel including; The Center in Vancouver for Performing Arts at 777 Homer Street, The Venue at 881 Granville Street, The Playhouse Theatre at 601 Cambie Street, the Orpheum Theatre at 881 Granville Street, and more!
Past Vancouver Comedy Festivals have hosted the likes of Betty White, Flight of the Concords, Carol Burnett, Steve Martin, and Jay Leno. Under the new name of the Vancouver Comedy and Arts Festival, artistic director Will Davis and the Comedy and Arts Festival crew have worked diligently to produce another great festival for 2013.
In 2013 the Vancouver Comedy and Arts Festival has expanded to include “bands, DJs, parties and clubs that will fit under the umbrella, which will be lead by a great brand of comedy.” says director Davis.
Professor Blastoff will perform at the Vancouver Playhouse, as will Reggie Watts, and Comedy Bang Bang, while festival headliner Margaret Cho will be bringing down the house when she closes out the festival at the Center in Vancouver for Performing Arts. There will be up and coming local talent, and other hilarious performers rounding out the bill, promising to make the Vancouver Comedy and Arts Festival 2013 one of the best ever!
