Thank you for choosing the BEST WESTERN PLUS Chateau Granville Hotel in downtown Vancouver; the preeminent hotel in Vancouver’s famed Granville Street Entertainment District, for your first time visit to our beloved city.

Of course there is a lot more to Vancouver than the neon lights and nightclubs of our Entertainment District.

Let’s start with our two historic districts downtown, Gastown and Chinatown. This is where Vancouver began back in the mid 1800’s.

The cobbled streets and alleys of Gastown take visitors back to an earlier time. It’s here you’ll find Vancouver’s oldest buildings; dating back to 1886.

A few blocks away is historic Chinatown. One of the largest Chinatowns in North America, Chinatown is a historic district rich in the cultural character of our expansive Asian community.

Back in the center of downtown Vancouver, three blocks from the BEST WESTERN PLUS Chateau Granville hotel, is the Robson Street shopping district. More than just a shoppers’ mecca, Robson Street is also a fabulous pedestrian stroll, where visitors can enjoy restaurants, lounges, and unparalleled shopping opportunities.

Granville Island Public Market is a definite must. A fabulous food market and one-of-a-kind boutiques, complimented by some of Vancouver’s finest restaurants, make Granville Island a favourite.

World famous Stanley Park is on everyone’s list for good reason. Remnants of the temperate rain forest that once covered this whole region can be found in this 1000 acre park on the edge of downtown. As well as towering trees, visitors can access the beaches of English Bay, experience our 1st Nations culture, and much more.

Another park worth a visit is Queen Elizabeth Park. A tropical plant conservatory and beautifully terraced flower beds make this park a favourite for wedding photos.

Across Burrard Inlet to the north, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park and Grouse Mountain Resort are both highlights for guests to enjoy.

Vancouver has much to see and do, and all within easy reach of this hotel. So check in, get settled, and come on by our lobby for some excellent visitor tips. We want to help you make your visit to Vancouver the best that it can be!
