Back to school is always an exciting time of the year at the BEST WESTERN PLUS Chateau Granville Hotel in downtown Vancouver. It is at this time of the year that many of our seasonal workers say goodbye to us as they return to school to focus full-time on their studies. It is also the time of year that we welcome back many of our corporate regulars. Our proximity to the business center of downtown Vancouver, the Law Courts, and the Vancouver Convention Center, coupled with our spacious and comfortable suites make this downtown Vancouver hotel a favorite for the business traveler.

Back to school means visits by many parents who accompany their kids to Vancouver, as the young adults prepare to enter their upcoming year of post-secondary education. There are many post-secondary schools in downtown Vancouver near the BEST WESTERN PLUS Chateau Granville. These schools include the downtown campuses of Simon Fraser University, the University of British Columbia, and the British Columbia Institute of Technology. As well, film schools, art schools, and  private business schools have campuses nearby.

The Granville Street Entertainment District outside the front doors of the Best Western Plus Chateau Granville is a must visit for many students both new and returning. Favorite nightspots including our own Edge Social Grille and Lounge, come alive with the energy of this youthful crowd.

Back to school is also a time of change in the make-up of our guest staying with us at the BEST WESTERN PLUS Chateau Granville hotel in downtown Vancouver. Families with young children have returned to their homes from their summer vacations, and couples and independent singles enjoy the final month of our summer season. September in many respects is one of the best times to visit downtown Vancouver, as the weather is fine, the crowds have thinned a bit, and the city has returned to something of a routine.

Back to school means different things to different people, and the tangible feeling of excitement that comes with this season’s change is hard to miss.
