Vancouver International Buskers Festival 2013

Happy Canada Day! Come on down and join us for a terrific street party!

On the Canada Day long weekend, from Saturday June 29th to Monday July 1st, the streets of downtown Vancouver only steps away from the BEST WESTERN PLUS Chateau Granville, hotel will come alive with the 2nd annual Vancouver International Buskers Festival.

What is a busker, you might ask? A busker is a performance artist who performs on sidewalks, beaches, and anywhere there might be lots of people, for tips. If you like the act, you toss a buck or two into the hat. It’s raw, pure, and honest entertainment!

All weekend long, international acts of all varieties will take to the stages along 5 blocks of Granville Street, between Smithe and Pender streets. Jugglers, acrobats, musicians and more will be performing their acts to audiences of thousands! Admission is free, with the various performers getting paid with your tips!

Summer street festivals drive the pulse of many large international cities around the globe, and the Vancouver International Buskers Festival 2013 is guaranteed to bring fun and excitement to the heart of downtown Vancouver.

A great lineup is promised for the festival with feature buskers on stage to perform for you. Local talent from Vancouver will be joined by touring artists from around Canada, and all over the world!

When you’re ready for a break from all the fabulous street entertainment, we’ve got summertime treats at the Edge Social Grille and Lounge  for you to enjoy on the finest outdoor dining patio on Granville Street! We’re only steps from the main festival stages.
