  1. Take the Stairs 

Instead of waiting on the elevator opt to take the stairs. Alternatively you can choose to use the stairs to come down instead of using the elevator, this is a great way to stay fit while travelling.

  1. See the City

Explore the city on foot or by bike. Lace up and take a jog around the city, the perfect way to start your day and get your bearings! Not a runner rent a bike and explore, Vancouver has many bike rental shops or you can use Mobi, Vancouver’s bike share program. Take a walk, jog or cycle around the popular seawall in Stanley park.

  1. Fitness Centre

Take advantage of our complimentary state of the art fitness centre the ideal space to do some cardio and or weight training. The fitness centre offers a panoramic view of busy Granville Street and is fully equipped with integrated LCD screens, cardiovascular equipment, a full selection of free weights as well as other fitness essentials like fresh towels and in-room water fountains.

  1. Avoid Temptation

You may be tempted by our all Canadian breakfast or our mouth watering Belgian Waffles served at our on-site restaurant, the Edge Social Grille & Lounge  avoid temptation and stick with our omelette or oatmeal. The same applies for when you are out for lunch or dinner, you can make wise choices such as swap out fries for salads.

Do you work out to a playlist, if so make sure to take it with you, as it will help you stay focused with your work out.

  1. Longer Stay

Fortunate enough to be staying for longer than a weekend, take advantage of some of the beautiful Vancouver hikes, a great way to get some exercise and fresh air while seeing what our beautiful city has to offer.

  1. Come Prepared

Pack your sports gear, ensure that you have your runners and all your sports clothes with you, leaving no excuses not to use them!

  1. Check your Options

Not a gym person, take our running maps from the front desk or speak to one of our concierge who are more than happy to point you in the right direction. We are very lucky to have a number of great running routes near our hotel. Don’t run you can always visit Vancouver aquatic centre which is a public swimming pool and do some lengths in their 50 meter pool.

  1. Use your Surroundings

These can be surroundings in your room or areas such as the park. Many of our rooms come with a separate spacious living room, the perfect space for stretching, yoga or Pilates.

  1. Bring Snacks

If you are only going away for a night or two night you can prepare some snacks such as fruits, yogurts, mixed nuts etc. All our rooms come with a refrigerator and microwave. Remember always keep hydrated and drink plenty of water.
